Hawthorne House | Parkville, MO
Kendall and Joshua were wed at the Hawthorne House on a sunny Friday in June. It was expected to rain that day. And despite starting off with a bit of clouds, the sun found its way to us for the most gorgeous outdoor ceremony. The first time I met the bride Kendall was via Facetime. We chatted about true-to-color photographs, timelessness, the importance of portraits for her while also balancing genuine moments. Her excitement and giddiness to be marrying Josh was infectious for me as well. Josh took care of Kendall in a way I can only describe as being a protector. He handled any stress with deep care and listening skills. Kendall's attention to detail and Josh's support and communication made photographing this day feel so authentic to them. It's relationships within my career like this one that keep me moving towards the next chapter. I know that as the seasons change this will be another couple I hold close to me; another couple I root for as life continues to change.
